In addition to “green” materials and construction practices, we have developed other green standards and practices for our office buildings. Our ongoing program of energy efficient lighting retrofits reduces electrical consumption in the core and public areas of our buildings by as much as 50%. Energy tracking systems allow our building managers to monitor energy consumption patterns to ensure we are operating our HVAC systems efficiently. We are currently installing carbon dioxide sensors on our return air systems in order to regulate and reduce the amount of fresh air make up and energy expended, while still maintaining low CO2 levels. Our waste management program, (post - collection recycling) has an overall recycling rate of better than 60%. Our cleaning contractors are committed to using green cleaning products and procedures in all of our buildings.
